The Charcuterie Hub

Bringing you an experience to gather around a table or board of exquisite pairings & delight to you and your loved ones.

  • The Challenge

Rebranding the business and creating a new website that is more user friendly for user’s to place their orders online. The current site is very difficult to understand and has no brand identity.

  • The Solution

After thorough user research and user testing’s the following pain points were discovered.

    User Pain Points:

    • The menu is hard to find and doesn’t list all the options. It is also hard to find any price points on the site.

    • Hard to understand the process and what happens after the order is made.

    • The site is glitchy and has no story of what the brand is about.

    • Not enough information on pricing or service details.

The solution is to focus on creating a new website focusing on solving those pain points. Refreshing the brand by giving it a new identity, color scheme, and story. Having a something user’s can identify with and relate to is important in order to establish a connection. Taking new photos to use on the site and update the Instagram feed will also help. Working with the client to create a price point for each service. Also incorporating a breakdown of what each service provides.

The Vision

After the initial introductory meeting with the client this mood board represents their vision and needs for the business.

As the client is rebranding their business this was an important step to make sure both the designer’s vision and the clients are aligned for the future steps to follow.

Brainstorming Session

After meeting with the client and discussing their business - I started brainstorming based on the history, feedback, and needs of the business. Before creating the site it is important to ensure that past concerns are noted and the site serves as a solution that is inline with the client.

Brainstorming Methods:

  • Mind Map - TCH

  • Stickies - Notes & ideas

  • Sitemap - Site Blueprint

Brand Awareness

About 59% of The Charcuterie Hub’s clients have found the brand through Instagram and 39% through word of mouth. Only 2% of their customers have reached out via email.

  • The Concern

Many new & repeat customers have questions regarding the menu, prices, and services that The Charcuterie Hub offers. The Charcuterie Hub needs a website with visuals and clear descriptions of what the business offers. The site can also target new customers within the same proximity as the business.

  • The Goal

The Charcuterie Hub (TCH) aims to have users schedule calls or emails inquiring about their needs and wants. In response, TCH will curate a board/table that fits the user’s needs and send an invoice. This limits any miscommunications or last-minute change requests that have occurred in the past.

Website Design

Design aim for this site is to be very minimal with fewer clicks.

The Homepage

Whether users are on a mobile, tablet, laptop, or computer device, they can know the brand and view their services from the first screen.

On bigger devices, users can see ‘The Process’ and ‘Our Values’ on the same screen. However, on smaller devices, users will see the ‘Our Values’ first and then ‘The Process’.

The footer allows user’s to enter their email to join the brand’s mailing list.

An email address is provided as well as a link to the brand’s instagram page.

Menu

The menu allows user’s to navigate through 3 pages: Homepage, Our Services, & Contact page.

Our Services

The Services page provides a description of each service's offerings.

Icons were created to represent the key ingredients of each service.

Many customers had questions about "The TCH Table" service, so we added more information and created a separate tab.

Contact

The Contact page allows users to send in a question or order inquiry easily.

A free 30-minute consultation call is helpful for customers with custom orders, multiple orders, and large events.

Many competitors charge their customers a rate for a consultation call and do not offer flexibility for custom orders.

This page was extremely useful in helping the brand stand out and keeping customers reassured that they would get exactly what they requested.
